Bynum Hosts Roundtable with Local Nonprofits, Advocacy Groups, Leaders Following Massive Cuts to Key Programs

Oregon City, OR – Today, Rep. Janelle Bynum (OR-05) hosted a roundtable conversation with nonprofit and advocacy group leaders to discuss the impacts of President Trump and Republicans’ budget. Rep. Bynum voted against this legislation twice, calling it “trash,” because of how devastating the cuts would be for her constituents.
“Now that the President has signed his big trash budget into law, our communities are bracing for the short and long-term impacts of cuts to the programs so many Oregonians rely on,” said Rep. Bynum. “We are in a time that demands fearless advocacy. To win in the court of public opinion, we have to continue to share the impacts that these policies are having in Oregon’s Fifth.
