PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Much of Oregon’s congressional delegation is back in the state now as Congress takes a break for the spring recess. Among them is freshman Democrat Rep. Janelle Bynum.

Bynum represents Oregon’s 5th Congressional district, which includes the southeast corner of Portland, most of Clackamas County, parts of Marion County and across the Cascades to Sisters and Bend.

Congresswoman Bynum defeated Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer in November, who is now President Trump’s labor secretary.

This week, Rep. Bynum returned to Eye on Northwest Politics to discuss the Trump administration’s impact on America’s trade war, Social Security worries in her district, and her recently introduced legislation to protect families from inflation.
